- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager, and all selections must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to teams in a match to level the playing field, often with whole or half numbers, eliminating draws.
- Banker
- A selection that is considered very likely to win, often used as a safe pick in multiple bets.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that lets you combine different markets from a single match into one custom bet.
- Bet Slip
- The digital form where you enter the amount you want to wager and confirm your selected bets.
- Bonus Bet
- A free bet credited by the sportsbook that you can use to place wagers, usually with certain conditions.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or cutting a loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match, increasing your chance to win.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that refunds your stake if the match ends in a draw, leaving only a win for either side.
- Each-Way
- A bet split into two parts – one for the selection to win, and one for it to place – common in horse racing but also used for other sports.
- Fixed Odds
- The odds set at the time you place a bet, remaining unchanged regardless of later market movements.
- Free Bet
- A bet funded by the sportsbook that you can use without risking your own money, typically with winnings returned minus the free bet stake.
- Goal Line
- A line set by the sportsbook for the total number of goals in a match, similar to an over/under market.
- Handicap
- A numerical advantage or disadvantage given to a team to balance the odds, often used in soccer betting.
- In-Play
- Bets placed after an event has started, with odds that update as the action unfolds.
- Lay Betting
- Betting against an outcome to happen, essentially acting as the bookmaker for that selection.
- Live Betting
- The same as In-Play; wagers made while a match is in progress.
- Maximum Payout
- The highest amount a sportsbook will pay out on a winning bet, regardless of the actual odds.
- Odds Format
- The way odds are displayed – such as decimal, fractional, or moneyline – affecting how you calculate potential returns.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether a specific statistic, like total goals, will be higher or lower than a set number.
- Parlay
- A bet that links two or more selections; all must win for a return, offering higher odds but greater risk.
- Push
- A tie result in a bet where the stake is returned and no winner is declared.
- Roll-over Requirement
- A condition that requires you to wager the value of a bonus a certain number of times before withdrawing any winnings.
- Stake
- The amount of money you put on a bet, determining the size of your potential payout.
- Void Bet
- A bet that is canceled and the stake is refunded, usually due to a match being postponed or a rule violation.
